It has been a few days now since Jeff arrived home and we are settling down from our big weekend.
He arrived on Friday after spending the night unexpectedly in the Denver Airport. He was diverted to Las Vegas and so Paul and the kids drove out to pick him up. I stayed home because I was not feeling up to a big five hour car ride across the desert followed by a day trip the next day to the Temple in St. George for the wedding.
We all grabbed quite a few photos and videos. Here they are in no special order.
The whole week has been a divine signature from our Heavenly Father as he has provided us with safety, energy, security, and love.
This first video I shot at the gathering we held after Jeffs Mission Report in Sacrament meeting last Sunday. We invited our family to come over for a birthday meal (it was Jeff’s 21st Birthday) and I asked them all to give him some post mission advice for transitioning to home.
And we all took video of his arrival at the airport and home. This playlist begins with his call and ends with his homecoming:
I am so grateful he is home safe.
We do not talk much about what happens in the Temple. It is too sacred, but I will say that being in that sealing room with my family was one of the highlights of my life as a Mother. Allison and Kyle were so happy and it was joyful to observe them make the sacred covenants of Eternal Marriage.
Here are a few more photos:
